An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
