Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
